The firm has substantial experience in banking, financing, real estate,import/export, employment and commercial litigation, and has handled domestic and international agency, distribution, licencing, joint venture, immigration, nonprofit, taxation, estate planning, elder law, secured lending, technologies, e-commerce, biohealth and privacy matters for Indiana, out-of-state and foreign clients.
Background: Holding a federal appointment as Chairman of Indiana’s District Export Council, Mr. Russell is the author of numerous articles concerning business and international trade and technologies and cyberspace law and is the annual updater for West Publishing’s 4 volume Indiana Business Organizations law treatise. Mr. Russell attended Dartmouth College, from which he received A.B. and M.B.A. degrees and received his law degree with honors from Northwestern University. In 2002, Mr. Russell was honored as Indiana’s “Global Businessperson of the Year,” Indianapolis’ mayor declared January 15, 2002, “David Williams Russell Day'' and he was designated a “Sagamore of the Wabash” by Indiana’s governor. In 2017, Mr. Russell received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Who’s Who in America. His biography also is listed in Who’s Who in American Law.

The Core-8 is a systematic and structured approach to foreign market entry that includes assessing the client’s readiness to export, extensive export market research, competitive positioning analysis, foreign buyer identification, foreign partner search and assessment, export compliance as well as complete export management.
The export development service is designed to allow the client greater freedom to tend to ongoing domestic business activities while simultaneously gaining traction in export development and increased foreign trade revenue. The competitive advantage FTI offers clients is efficient and effective export development without the added expense of fixed overhead and lengthy learning curves associated with permanent staffing of an in-house export manager.
In addition to managing export development for a small group of firms, beginning in 2011, FTI contracted with the State of Indiana to offer export assistance to clients of the Small Business Development Center (ISBDC).
Based on its Core-8 Steps to Export Development, FTI created for the ISBDC a 3-month intensive curriculum for companies wanting to build and implement a proactive export strategy. Debuting in 2015, the Export Indiana Accelerator Program is the ISBDC’s flagship export development service.
About the Founder - Andrew Reinke has been exporting for over 25 years. Upon graduation from Wabash College, he received a Governor’s Fellowship from Governor Robert D. Orr followed by a position with the Indiana Department of Commerce as Field Representative. Andrew received an MBA from Notre Dame and worked as Export Manager for Trinetics Inc, earning ‘Exporter of the Year Award’ from the St. Joe County Chamber of Commerce. Following his tenure at Trinetics, Andrew founded Foreign Targets, Inc.
Andrew serves on various trade and philanthropic organizations including the Indiana District Export Council, the Indianapolis Foreign Trade Zone Board, Indy Chamber’s Go Global Council and Exodus Refugee. He served as president of the Michiana World Trade Council and later the World Trade Club of Indiana. Andrew frequently writes articles, participates in trade forums and gives speeches on the merit and benefits of export development.

Company Description: Telamon Corporation specializes in automotive wire harness manufacture, automotive component industrial assembly and solutions for telecommunications networks.
Experience: Oleg launched the Telamon-Europe division establishing a manufacturing plant in North Macedonia, which was a 2019 Emerging Europe Awards finalist. Previously, he also opened a distribution center in Ukraine, a sales office in Russia and a manufacturing plant in China. His European Business Development Program received the 2017 US President’s “E” Award - the highest export award given by the US Government. Oleg has a BS from the US Military Academy at West Point and a MA from State University of New York (SUNY).

Tom has more than 35 years of corporate tax experience. He is a member of BKD’s International Tax Services group, serving international clients that include publicly and privately held U.S.-based multinational corporations as well as foreign corporations conducting business in the U.S. Tom focuses on corporate tax matters, including cross-border transactions, treaty analysis, inbound structuring and planning, foreign tax credit planning, subpart F analysis and export incentives.
Before joining BKD, Tom was tax vice president for a health care and funeral services company, where he led the tax effort to separate two business units into publicly held corporations. His experience also includes the international tax services group of an international accounting firm as well as serving as tax director for a Fortune 500 financial services firm.
Tom is a frequent speaker to tax and business groups. He has presented on a variety of international tax topics including the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, Export Incentives, Structuring International Activity, Fairness of Foreign Tax Regimes as well as the impact of new accounting standards.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Indiana CPA Society and Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also is former chapter president of Tax Executives Institute, Inc. Tom is a licensed CPA in Indiana and Kentucky.
Tom is a 1981 graduate of Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, with a B.A. degree in accounting.

Experience Summary: Following work in laboratory equipment-life sciences, aerospace, and military / defense communications sectors, Lloyd joined Cook Group in 2015, supporting the Cook Group family of companies in all facets of development and execution of their global trade compliance program, including import/export compliance, trade sanctions, and technology controls. Lloyd’s trade career over 20 years has been focused in manufacturing entities encompassing global distribution and supply chain operations. Lloyd is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), and an ASQ Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA). Lloyd holds an MBA from Western Carolina University, an MFA from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a BA from East Tennessee State University.

Experience Summary: Bob holds a marketing degree from Indiana University with a concentration in Japanese. Following a year abroad at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan, he joined the Indiana Department of Commerce in 1988 coordinating the attraction of Japanese investment to the state. Bob later served five years as deputy director at the State of Indiana Japan Office in Tokyo assisting Indiana companies looking to export to Japan.
In 1994, Bob joined The Ford Meter Box Company, Inc. to develop markets in Asia and Oceania. He now serves as a board director, vice president and export sales manager supervising the company’s international market development in over 65 countries.

Experience Summary: Through IHIF, Kristin works to connect Indiana life sciences companies with resources and talent locally, nationally, and globally. IHIF maintains strategic relationships with sister organizations and partners around the globe. IHIF advises companies on international market strategies, provides input on federal trade legislation, and organizes and hosts international trade delegations. Kristin spent nearly a decade with the Indiana Department of Commerce’s International Trade Division where she served as both a regional trade specialist and the program director, overseeing the state’s export assistance programs and network of 14 foreign offices. Kristin holds a BA in French and a Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in comparative international affairs.

Company: Vista Nuclear Solutions, Inc.
Company Description: Vista Nuclear specializes in the treatment and disposal of radioactive liquids that are generated at global nuclear weapons sites, nuclear power plants, research institutes and atomic energy facilities. Vista has three offices in China and conducts a variety of business activities in the health, industrial and nuclear sectors.
Experience Summary: Dennis has spent his entire 46-year career in international business, beginning his career with Cummins Engine Company in 1974. With Cummins, Dennis had several international assignments including Regional Manager, Middle East based in Tehran, Iran and Athens, Greece, Director of China Operations and Director of International Strategic Planning. In 1986 Cummins and Dennis established a diversified import / export company with its focus on supply chain development in China. The nuclear component of the business was created in 2000 which resulted in two major projects sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Proliferation Prevention Initiatives in Russia and Kazakhstan from 2008-2015.
Dennis received a B.A. degree from DePauw University and a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Position: Audio Visual Sales Consultant & Government Relations Manager
Company: Draper, Inc.
Company Description: Draper, Inc. is a closely-held 700 employee manufacturer of audio visual products, window coverings, and gymnasium equipment, now in the 4th and 5th generations of ownership by the founding family (founded in 1902).
Experience Summary: From 1999-2019, Nate served as International Regional Manager for Draper for the Middle East / Africa, Central & South Asia, Latin America, and Germany, during which time he opened 43 new markets across five continents, whose growth resulted in 51.3% of total export sales by 2019. Nate received 11 Sales Excellence Awards and the 2010 “Young Turks of Consumer Electronics” industry award by Custom Retailer journal. In 2019, Draper downsized its Export Department. Nate was replaced by a Dubai-based distributor, while the other International Regional Manager was replaced by a Hong Kong-based distributor. Nate continues to manage government relations for Draper, and currently serves a two-year elected term as Great Lakes Board Member on the National Association of District Export Councils (NADEC). Nate earned a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
